catwalk copy

You can look just as good as the designers

hey everyone so a big thing heading in on the catwalks for autumn/winter is hourglass or showing of the feminine shape to the fullest. A big part of this is obviously belts , tied around your wait they can make any outfit look more flattering.

Designer Jonathon Saunders made what has been called a risqué transition with his autumn/winter collection celebrating the female form, using skinny belts to cinch neat peplum jackets, skinny sweaters and full-skirted dresses.

Other designers did not use belts but simply shaped a skirt to appear to be resting of curvaceous hips under a tiny waist.

although you could purchase the designer items yourself you can also recreate the look using high street stores.

the first look is this:

This piece (on the left) is by Jonathon Saunders and I think the bralet style top and the fullness of the skirt work perfectly together.
This is my version of it, I have used a black bralet from owntherunway.co.uk that cost £18.99 and this skirt by coast at house of Frazer which is a tad bit expensive but I just loved it at £115.I then also added a simply chain belt to draw attention to the waist from river island that cost £25.

and of course you need those red shoes to pair with your fave red lipstick and I found these for just £45 at Debenhams .

This is the palette I used which is called the sensationnel effects eye shadows by Lancôme, I used lezard which is a dark brown, daylight which is white and floralesque which is a peachy colour. For my brows I have just used my normal beautiful brows powder kit, which I would recommend because I love it.

In my ears I have some blue stone look crosses and small gold peace signs which are both from miss
Selfridge I also have a small gold stud in my helix. I am also wearing my rose gold necklace also from miss Selfridge.

Now onto clothes, so I am wearing a coral coloured cardigan from forever 21 with a white crop top from boohoo and printed trousers from
Primark.

Bare minerals

                            My review on bare minerals

Hello everyone so i just wanted to start out by saying that i'm doing this review just to let you know what i think about these products not because i have been asked to or am being paid for it , thanks.x

So on my recent holiday i purchased a bare minerals starter kit from duty free which included:
*the full flawless face brush
*the flawless face brush
*the max coverage concealer brush
*prime time face primer
*warmth
*mineral veil
*medium beige foundation
and a dvd that tells you how to apply bare minerals, this kit cost me £32 which i thought was a great deal as the things inside should of come to £100 so i'm deffinatly glad i purchased it.

I personly think that bare minerals is great , it works for people with all skin types although i would say if you have acne prone skin and you like coverage this is not for you as although it does give good coverage it isnt like normal make up or liquid foundation as used by most.Myself i prefere good coverage that lasts all day and although i do like bare minerals and would recomend it, its not somthing i would wear daily proberly somthing more everyday for at home. Having said this if you are someone who doesnt wear alot of make up daily this is for you.

This was only a small post but i hope you enjoyed reading and it helps xx

my most ....bags

Most.......bags

Hi guys so this post is all about my bags in this i'm only going to tell you about 6 of my bags being the most used, the newest, the most used weekend bag ect.

most used bag
So this is my most used bag as you might be able to see on the handles it has been used alot, thus used to be proberly my go to bag as its goes with everything plus a wear quite alot of navy. This bag is by a brand called bessie couture and they do a load of different bags that range in between £25 and £40.
                      most useful bag

so this is my most useful bag and i use this for long day trip or journeys when i need to carry quite a lot as its big and wearable. This bag is by fossil and although i can't remember or find the price online i think it was between £100 and £170.

most used weekend bag

So this is the bag i use for all my weekend trips or sleepovers ect, this is the side buckled moroccan style holdall from gharani strok, costs £95 and is still on there website.

Bag thats never been used

so this is a clutch bag from river island that i have had since november as i got it for my birthday from my grandma however i have not used it yet as there just has'nt been somwhere i can where it or i have chosen to wear somthing else.

Newest bag

This is my newest bag and is actuly from primark which is'nt where i would normaly buy my handbags from but i love mint and i love the design of this bag i believe is cost about £10.

Fave bag

ok so this is more my fave style of bag at the min but anyway so this is a gold ted baker ikon bag which costs £29 to £39 ,I have three of these bags (the other two are black but in different sizes).i like these bags because they are useful a grat size and due to the fabric they are waterproof and quite hard wearing.

Ootd

Hi everyone so this is my outfit of the day,
Ok so here i am wearing mint wedge high tops, mint jacket and a mint bag.please excuse the picture quality as i quickly took it on my phone which brings up my next quick point which is that this is my first post using the mobile phone blogger app so hopefully all goes well.
Anyway back to my outfit, so my black vest top i believe is from topshop, my jeans are from dorothy perkins (fab jeans), my shoes bag and jacket are from primark however the jacket was from the limited edition range (which i only found out about recently)
I like this outfit because whilst it is mainly mint for spring it is a leather jacket that is great for when it is abit of a colder day
Thanks for reading only a short one but thanks :) x

spring summer trend: sports luxe

spring/summer trends

Hey guys so this spring/summer seems to be all about prints from louis vuitton to kenzo to dior....

.....However who really wants to spend hundreds or thousands on a dress or jacket when you can get one just as good for alot less.

One big tend this season is sports luxe, you can pick most sporty pieces from all the high street shops particualy places like topshop or river island for good prices or even cheaper from places like primark or boohoo.

This white skirt is from topshop and costs £25 compared to this sports luxe skirt by phillip lim that costs £415, although these pieces are very different you can see the obvious price difference for the same trend

This top is a hooded semi-sheer slouchy top from topshop and retails in at £32 whilst this price is very good I'm retty sure that you could find somthing very similar for a fraction of the price.

Another piece from this trend is bomber jackets , i even jumped on the band wagon with this and bought this jacket from vila clothing at oldrids for £45.

Thanks for reading :)

how to style a skater skirt x

                                                        winter wear
I think there are two main ways that people seem to wear skater skirts and they both work great:

The jumper
I think a simple jumper looks great with a skater skirt weather it is tucked in, out or abit of both like in this picture.

The shirt
I think the most commonly used type of shirt is denim closely followed by the plaid shirt. I think this looks great mainly because shirts tend to be seen at "manly" or are rather boxy shaped so by tucking it in to a skater skirt gives you more womanly curves straight away.

                         summer wear
For summer i think most people tend to go towards a simple vest top or crop tops, obviously crop top can be worn all year round either long sleeved ones or just add a blazer but personally i think a vest crop top gives more of a summery look. I think crop tops are great with skater skirts they tend to be the perfect length to either just show off a bit of flesh or  hit where the skirt starts if you don't want to show off much flesh. You can get crop tops from anywhere from primark to topshop to Louis Vuitton.

Hair extensions

To glue or not to glue...

There are many different types of hair extensions, some are semi-permenent and last for months where as others onl last a matter of hours. This will help you understanhd or decide (if you are considering getting extentions) what is best for you.

                                              temporary hair extensions

Tape hair extensions are temporary hair extensions that use double-sided tape to attach the extensions to a person's real hair. The tape comes in different types and strengths but is usually clear. These hair extentions are useful if you want a more descrete look however i'm not sure that removing these would be the easiest.

Clip-in hair extensions are perhaps the most popular type of hair extension, you can buy a large range of colours textures and you get to decide if you want full head extensions or a ponytail clip in for example. With clip-in extensions you can either purchase synthetic hair for as little as £2.99 or human hair which can be more expensive for between £24.99 to the thicker and better quality ones at £84.99 depending of lenth.

         semi-permenent hair extensions

cold fusion hair extensions are becoming more and more popular as it does not use any kind of heat so there fore does not damage your natural hair as much.It uses ‘cold’ ultrasonic pulses to bond ‘V’ shaped keratin tips around your hair.

Glue in hair extensions are also one of the most popular types of hair extension whilst also one of the most damaging, glue in extensions can cost anything from £100 to £1000.

Micro ring hair extentions are somthing i heard of a while ago and as far as i have seen seem to be a good alternative to glue in extensions.i would not recomend trying to put these in yourself so perhaps it would be a better idea to get them done professionaly however you can buy micro ring extensions yourself from £34.99 to £88.99.
